bloodroot botanical painting

original watercolor painting on archival quality 100% cold press watercolor paper. The painting is mounted to a basswood panel that measures 5x7 inches, and 1.5 inches deep, and is sealed with a uv protectant spray and wax/resin layer to protect against moisture and dust. the panel has a wire on the back so the painting is ready to hang on your walls and add some whimsy to your space! It also looks nice standing on a shelf.   

bloodroot is an early spring woodland wildflower known for its bright red-orange sap from which it gets its common name. 

this painting is steeply discounted because there was an issue with the mounting process, where the paper mounted to the panel crooked leaving some of the panel visible on each corner. i decided to list this one for sale despite the error because it looks sort of abstract and cool (at least to me!).
